About Global Data Tracker

Global Data Tracker is a free browser-based way to explore country statistics. Browse profiles for 217 countries and areas, inspect historical charts for 20 World Bank indicators, compare places and download CSV data. An optional 3D globe adds a visual route into the same country information.

It is useful for students, educators and readers who want to ask better questions of public data. Check units, definitions and observation years before comparing: country coverage and the latest year differ by indicator. Animated estimates are labeled separately from annual published observations.

I am Ben Portman, the solo creator in Ottawa, Canada. The project is pre-revenue and was built with extensive AI assistance. Global Data Tracker is independent of the World Bank and the UN.
