Start with structured templates for character profiles, world rules, story outlines, scene cards, and clues and payoffs. Keep these alongside your manuscript and project conversations, so you can return to the context behind a scene as you write.

The AI agent can work with your project references. You can see progress such as reading the relevant material and checking whether the request is complete, then review the result and decide what belongs in your story.

A practical workflow: organize a character and a few scene ideas, ask the agent to review a specific story question using those references, inspect the result, and continue writing. NovelShaft keeps the author in charge of creative decisions.
