The Ride is a domain-specific programming language with a focus on security and simplicity that may be used to create decentralized apps. The Waves blockchain does not charge "gas" costs based on the amount of computational work required to run a script, considerably enhancing the dependability of applications. There are no loops in the Ride smart contract language, making it non-Turing Complete. Hence, the computational expenses are known in advance.
